The simplest cake frosting recipe you need!!
Last week I baked a cake in memory of my dad on his birthday, he loved chocolate cakes but due to his diabetes, he always ate very limited amounts. Hence, I baked a 'Gooey chocolate cake', I used a recipe I found on Youtube by Emma's Goodies. She has amazing cake recipes. Now back to the frosting, I made this phenomenal frosting, and since it's not too sweet it goes perfectly well with a good chocolate gooey cake. A must try!
All you need is-
- 1 cup Double cream or heavy whipping cream
- 250gms of dark or milk chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl add the cream and chocolate, heat for 1 min on high. Let that sit for 2-3 mins or until the chocolate is soft. Mix the chocolate in the cream and let cool for 5mins. For the next step, if you have a stand/ electric mixer I would suggest you use it to make it easier on your muscles. Whisk the cream for about 5-7 minutes or until soft peaks. It usually does not take long as the cream is at room temperature. I use this to frost my cake immediately. YUMMY!
